Abstract
The effect of tempering at 450 - 650A degrees C of different duration on mechanical properties and microstructure of a cast low-alloy steel is investigated. The ultimate rupture strength, the yield strength, the elongation and the Vickers hardness of the steel are determined. Metallographic analysis is performed.
