AB - The structural and acid stability of three zeolitic tuffs from Zlatokop Beočin and Novakovići deposits were investigated. The HCl solution of various strengths from 10^-3 to 2M was used. The calculation of Si/Al ratio of starting materials showed that zeolitic tuffs from Zlatokop and Novakovići deposits are rich in clinoptilolite, while zeolitic tuff from Beočin deposit is rich in hettlandite. The acid treatment of all three zeotitic tuffs showed that decationisation was accompanied with dealumination, and both processes were increased with increasing the acid concentration. However, at lower acid concentrations (10^-3-l0^-1 M) primarily, ion exchange of inorganic cations in tuffs was occurred. The content of Al released from zeolitic tuffs during the acid treatment suggested that at HCl concentrations above 10^-1 M dealumination was occurred. From XRPD data, HCl effected a significant reduction in cristallinity of zeolitic tuffs with concentration of IM and above. The acid resistance of zeolitic tuffs from different deposits decreased in the following order: Zlatokop > Novakovići > Beočin.
