AB  - Zaštita životne sredine je izuzetno važana u svim zemljama i u direktnoj je vezi sa stepenom
ekonomskog razvoja i nivoa edukacije stanovništa o značaju zdrave životne sredine i načinu njenog
očuvanja. Ubrzani tehnološki razvoj dovodi do poboljšanja kvaliteta života u svim sferama ljudske
aktivnosti, ali paralelno sa tim stvara se mogućnost veće degradacije životne sredine. Zbog toga je
važno analizirati negativan uticaj svih primenjenih tehničko-tehnoloških procesa kao i elemente
kontrolisanog korišćenje prirodnih resursa i energije, kako bi se na vreme usvojila strategija i
definisale aktivnosti u cilju sprovođenja adekvatnih mera zaštite životne sredine. Jedan od od velikih
problema u zaštiti životne sredine je pojava emisije gasova sa efektom staklene bašte. Svetske
organizacije koje se bave zaštitom životne sredine pružaju veliki podsticaj za razvoj i stvaranje boljih,
inovativnijih održivih rešenja u građevinarstvu. Tako je jedan od prioriteta proizvođača cementa
pronalaženje novih načina za daljim smanjenjem potrošnje energije i emisije CO2 koja je najveća u
fazi proizvodnje klinkera (proizvod procesa pečenja cementa prilikom spravljanja portland cementa).
Tako neprekidno nastaju nova rešenja koja smanjuju količinu klinkera dok u isto vreme potenciraju
upotrebu alternativnih materijala. Materijali koji mogu zameniti upotrebu cementa (supplementary
cementitious materials- SCM), kao i mešavine cementa nude prednosti u boljim karakteristikama i
održivosti za one koji grade i one koji koriste građevine svih vrsta. Prednosti su, ne samo u
dugotrajnijem betonu boljeg kvaliteta, već i u manjoj potrošnji energije i emisije gasova sa efektom
staklene bašte.

AB  - Prirodni resursi su ograničeni i njihova nekontrolisana eksploatacija može imati
negativne posledice na životnu sredinu. Zbog toga je neophodno pronaći načine za njihovo održivo
korišćenje. Održivi razvoj je okvir za oblikovanje politika i strategija kontinualnog državnog i
socijalnog napretka, bez štete za okolinu i prirodne izvore bitne za ljudske delatnosti u budućnosti.
Jedan od modela kojim se reguliše održivo korišćenje je niz strategija i zakonskih regulativa koje
uređuju oblast eksploatacije prirodnih resursa i energije. Osnovni cilj je osigurati održivo
korišćenje prirodnih izvora kako na nacionalnom tako i na međunarodnom, globalnom, nivou.
Održivo korišćenje prirodnih resursa je u direktnoj vezi sa zaštitom životne sredine. Takođe,
očuvanje radne i životne sredine je povezano sa stepenom ekonomskog razvoja i nivoa edukacije
stanovništa o značaju zdrave životne sredine i načinu njenog očuvanja. Ubrzani tehnološki razvoj
dovodi do poboljšanja kvaliteta života u svim sferama ljudskih aktivnosti, ali paralelno sa tim
stvara se mogućnost veće degradacije životne sredine. Zbog toga je neophodno da se u okviru
ciljeva razvojne politike društva uvrste i pravilni kriterijumi koji će doprinositi održivom razvoju.
Samo na taj način doprinosimo očuvanju životne sredine i eliminisanju svih akcidentnih situacija
koje ugrožavaju ravnotežu prirodnih ekosistema.

AB  - Mikronizacija pirofilita je veliki tehnološko-tehnički problem, iz razloga što klasične mašine za usitnjavanje, ne mogu, svojim procesnim uslovima, da ga mikroniziraju do finog i posebno veoma finog granulometrijskog sastava, koji je neophodan za nove savremene domene industrijke primene. Iz ovih razloga, neophodno je dobro poznavanje njihovih fizičko-hemijskih, mineraloških, mehaničkih osobina, i posebno mehanizama procesa njihovog finog usitnjavanja (mikronizacije).Detaljnim istraživanjima kinetike mikronizirajućeg mlevenja pirofilita, dobijeni su elementi za određivanje efikasnosti rada vibracionih i ultra-centrifugalnih mlinova, a samim tim stečeni su uslovi za definisanje kako tehnoloških parametara mikronizacije, tako i parametara proizvoda mikronizacije. U isto vreme, na osnovu detaljne fizičko-hemijske, mineraloške i rentgenske karakterizacije mikroniziranih proizvoda pirofilita, uočene su određene fizičko-hemijske promene u njihovoj strukturi (prelaz pirofilita u amorfno stanje), što je sigurno posledica rada pomenutih mlinova.

AB  - The paper presents the results of the investigation of cavitation resistance of glass-ceramics based on basalt rocks from the Vrelo Kopaonik deposit and various waste industrial raw materials. The aim was to determine the possibility of using glass-ceramics as a substitute for metallic materials in the production of structural elements of mining and metallurgy equipment. The ultrasonic vibration method (with a stationary samples) was used for cavitation resistance testing, according to the ASTM G-32 standard. A change in the sample mass in function of the cavitation time was monitored for the evaluation of cavitation resistance. The level of degradation of the surface of the sample was quantified using the image analysis. The change in the morphology of the sample surface with the test time was followed by scanning electron microscopy.

AB  - The paper examines the cavitation resistance of the sintered basalt samples. A change in the sample mass in function of the cavitation time was monitored for the evaluation of cavitation resistance. The level of degradation of the surface of the sample was quantified using the image analysis. Analyzing the progression of erosion samples of sintered basalt, it can be concluded that the mass loss is small, for 120 min exposure is 2,26 mg, with a cavitation rate of 0.02 mg/min and total surface damage of the sample surface of 15%. It has been shown that sintered basalt samples can be applied in conditions in which high cavitation loads are expected.

AB  - U ovom radu prikazani su rezulati rada Rudnika-Grot. Pre svega su prikazani stanje, tehnologija I način rada na rudi olova i cinka koja se eksploatisala i prerađivala u prethodnom periodu. Prikazano je osnovno eksploataciono polje Rudnika Blagodat do 2018., geološke karakteristike ležišta, mineralni sastva i ostale fizičko-hemijske osobine rude. Osim toga u radu je prikazana tehnološka inovacija iz 2017. kojom je izmenjena šema tehnološkog postupka u pogonu za flotiranje olovo- cinkane rude Rudnika Grot. U okviru ovoga dati su svi tehnološki parametri, tehničko-tehnološki efekti izvedene inovacije, kao i postignute uštede u postupku flotiranja u pogonu.

Prikazano je osnovno eksploataciono polje Rudnika Blagodat do 2018., geološke karakteristike ležišta, mineralni sastva i ostale fizičko-hemijske osobine rude. Osim toga u radu je prikazana tehnološka inovacija iz 2017. kojom je izmenjena šema tehnološkog postupka u pogonu za flotiranje olovo- cinkane rude Rudnika Grot. U okviru ovoga dati su svi tehnološki parametri, tehničko-tehnološki efekti izvedene inovacije, kao i postignute uštede u postupku flotiranja u pogonu.",

AB  - U radu je ispitivana otpornost na dejstvo kavitacije staklo-keramike na bazi bazalta. Ispitivane su dve vrste uzoraka: liveni i sinterovani uzorci na bazi bazalta. Kavitaciono erozioni test izveden je pomoću ultrazvučne vibracione metode sa stacionarnim uzorkom. Da bi se odredila kavitaciona otpornost praćena je promena mase uzoraka u funkciji vremena ispitivanja. Promena morfologije oštećenja površine uzoraka tokom ispitivanja praćena je skenirajućom elektronskom mikroskopijom. Nivo degradacije površine kvantifikovan je korišćenjem analize slike. Uzorci su ispitivani pod istim uslovima. Poređenje svojstava otpornosti na dejstvo kavitacije izvršeno je u odnosu na vrednosti kavitacionih brzina. Rezultati su pokazali visok stepen otpornosti ispitivanih uzoraka i mogućnost njihove primene u uslovima visokih kavitacionih opterećenja.
AB  - The paper examines the resistance to the effect of cavitation of glass-ceramics based on basalt. Two types of samples were investigated: cast and sintered samples based on basalt.The cavitation erosion test was performed using the ultrasonic vibratory method with a stationary sample. To measure the cavitation resistance, a change in sample mass in function of the cavitation time was monitored. The change in the morphology of the surface with the test time was followed by scanning electron microscopy. The level of the surface degradation of the samples was quantified using the image analysis. Samples were tested under the same conditions. A comparison of the properties of the resistance to the effect of cavitation was performed in relation to the calculated cavitation rates. The results showed the high degree of cavitation resistance of the tested samples and the possibility of their application in conditions of high cavitation loads.

AB  - The paper presents the process of quartz sand processing from the "Bijela Stijena" - Skocic deposit in the plant "Kesogradnja d.o.o." at Kozluk near Zvornik, Republic of Srpska. Bearing in mind the fact that this quartz sand is used for water glass production in the company "Birac" - Zvornik or "Alumina" Zvornik, it was necessary to meet the quality requirements prescribed by that industrial production. Thus, the required size was -0.4+0.05 mm and the Fe2O3 content was maximum of 0.04%. Based on the laboratory tests, a technological scheme for the quartz raw material valorization was conceived in the separation of the company "Kesogradnja d.o.o.". The obtained results showed that quartz sand for water glass size fraction -0.4+0.05 mm could be obtained in the plant. Also, by introducing a magnetic concentration after washing and grading, the Fe2O3 content was reduced from 0.131% as it is in the initial sample to 0.038% which meets the required conditions from the water glass producers.

AB  - The main problem of hydraulic transport is the resistance generated during the mixture transport through the pipe-line. Testing the flow characteristics of mixtures, shown in this paper, are based on the principles of determining the unit energy losses by a mathematical calculation using the non-linear regression - the Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm. Such obtained results allow determining a transport rate in the horizontal pipe-line, depending on the mixture bulk density and pipe-line diameter. The flotation tailings is mainly used as a filling material in the mine "Trepca" - Stari Trg. According to the grain size distribution, it is a fine-grained material of a size of 0.074 mm to 1.2 mm. It is a multicomponent material containing pyrite, pyrrhotine and other heavy metals, and therefore, has a high bulk mass. The average rate of the hydromixture, in which the energy losses reach the minimum value, depends on the pipe-line diameter and kinetic bulk density of the mixture. For the test interval of change in the pipe-line diameter, shown in this paper (0.168 mm, 0.176 mm, 0.193 mm, and 0.225 mm), and kinetic bulk density of the hydraulic mixture (1-1.6 kg/m(3)), this rate ranges from 3-5.5 m/s. The increase of the energy losses in the hydraulic mixture transport increases proportionality with the increase of its kinetic bulk density. The results, presented in this paper, show that the required bulk density of 1.6 kg/m(3) should be accepted as a limit from a point of view of the hydraulic transport cost-efficiency.

AB  - For the development of the Lost Foam refractory coatings with controlled rheologic properties, the influence of the mechanical activation process on the cordierite-based filler's properties change was examined. First of all, the test referred to the change offiller particles' size and shape, as well as to dispersion ability and stability of the coating suspension. Cordierite was obtained by synthesis in a solid state, out of the mass consisting of kaoline, alumina, quartz, sepiolite. For characterization purposes, the following methods were used: X-ray diffraction, differential thermal analysis, SEM and optical microscopy. Mechanical activation of filler was performed in a vibrating mill. The upper boundary of the grain size was 100% -30 x 10-6 m, the times were (min): 15; 30; 60. The new composition of Lost foam refractory coatings has been developed with a change of the coating production process, as well. These newly synthesized coatings proved to be effective in terms of a positive influence on a surface quality, structural and mechanical properties of aluminium castings. Test results may be useful to have the Lost Foam refractory coatings specified together with other process parameters used for the production of castings according to this casting method.

AB  - This paper analyzes the formation of cavitation damages depending on the technology of fabrication, structure and properties of basalt from the Vrelo-Kopaonik deposit. The methodology for monitoring the level of damage caused by cavitation and estimation the material life span base on parameters was developed: change in the mass loss, measurement the degradation level of the sample surface, dynamics of the formation of pits, changes in their average area surface, determination the line profile. A change in the surface morphology with the test time was followed by a scanning electron microscopy. The level of surface degradation of samples was quantified using the image analysis. The results indicate that the cast basalt has a high degree of cavitation resistance.

AB  - Hydrogen is considered to be be the fuel of the future. Fuel cells allow that the change of Gibbs function can provide maximum electrical work. Activation with mechanochemical treatment of mineral matter represents a technology that enables us to get fuel with high heat of combustion. The hydrogen generator represents a mechanochemical reactor or a mill with balls in whose operating cylinder is the metal creator in view of grinding bodies, water and abrasive. It is interesting to notice the fact that we calculated the work of the mill (reactor) in the dimension A(=) Jmol-1. It is also important the fact that one of the balls in a mill (reactor) mass m = 6.5 g, in the process of MH treatment, with its operation on the mineral grain size d = 100 um creates the pressure of 0.65 MPa.

AB  - U Srbiji radi oko 200 rudnika u eksploataciji nemetaličnih mineralnih sirovina. Nemetalične mineralne sirovine su zastupljene u svim područjima Srbije i zauzimaju značajno mesto u privrednom razvoju, bilo da služe kao finalni proizvodi ili kao sirovine kod proizvodnje u prerađivačkoj i drugim industrijskim granama. Po raspoloživim količinama, kao i raznovrsnosti, ove sirovine su jedan od najznačajnijih domaćih prirodnih resursa. Skoro da ne postoje privredne grane koje ne koriste nemetalične mineralne sirovine.
 Osnovni cilj ovog referata je da se kroz sintezu raspoloživih podataka i dosadašnjih saznanja prikaže dostignuti nivo i potencijalne mogućnosti domaćih ležišta nemetaličnih mineralnih sirovina. Takođe, osnovni cilj je, da se sa raspoloživim podacima korišćenim u ovom tekstu dokumentuje određena zapostavljenost sirovinske baze nemetaličnih mineralnih sirovina u privrednom razvoju Srbije.

AB  - This study presents the results of an investigation of high temperature materials – refractory filler based on cordierite, mullite and zircon for the synthesis of new refractory pattern coating and application in foundry. In order to obtain better properties of refractory fillers, special attention in the research was devoted to the preparation of fillers by grinding and mechanical activation. The application of the fillers for the synthesis of refractory pattern coatings and use in the new EPC casting process for obtained aluminum alloys and steel casting was shown positive results.

AB  - Frequently repeated phrases are that mining is a low-accumulative activity, with high production expenses and low prices of final products, which puts mining at a disadvantage compared to other, less demanding activities. We often point out that employees in the field of mining have been taking into account production expenses much more than generated profit for a long time. At the same time, capacities have not been sufficiently utilised. Non-metallic mineral raw materials, such as pyrophyllite (Al2Si4O10(OH)2), have an important role in economic development, whether as final products or as raw materials in manufacturing in processing and other industries. By its available quantities, pyrophyllite is one of the most important domestic natural non-metallic mineral raw materials in BiH (18.000.000t), [1-2]. There are almost no economic sectors that do not use pyrophyllite. In other words, it is used in the majority of industries, including civil engineering, agriculture, and lately increasingly in technologies for environmental protection. The existence of potential raw material base, pyrophyllite, in significant quantities, provides extensive possibilities for the development of manufacture with a wide product range. This paper will attempt to point out the possibilities for prospective processing and application of high- quality concentrates of pyrophyllite for new materials with added value, with special emphasis on agriculture.

AB  - Flotation of ions and molecules represents a promising method of separating components from the solution, or in our case, gelled copper salt from the blue waters. The method of flotation of ions and molecules is basicly flotation extraction process which produces different concentration gradients of more component phase system. Different concentration gradients in the flotation extraction are due to the driving forces of the participating molecules driven by molecular interactions. More component phase system i.e. flotation pulp consists of water molecules of the solute, and a suitable reagent which has the role of connection of the liquid and gaseous phases dispersed in a biphasic system. Such a system leads to the interaction of the solute with a reagent to the formation of coagulated component in water as solvent. Separation in the polyphased system is in accordance with Van't Hoff- th equation, and spontaneously occurs in two-phase systems like gaseous-fluid, such as the system of flotation pulp. By use of the osmotic pressure in the columnn flotation machine comes to the separation of the flotation pulp to the heavy and light phase. This allows the molecules of water to form their natural distances which are only valid for molecules of pure water, apropos for heavy phase. Also, the solute forms it’s light phase, copper – surfactant salt as insoluble product. For some poliphase systems such as colloidal systems like in flotation process are sufficient atmospheric pressure conditions and for others solutions should be applied overpressure while being aerated. The paper presents the results of the research of flotation extraction of blue water i.e. copper solution content of 0.2 g/l. From the results, it is concluded that there is a possibility of purifying of blue water from copper mine tailings using the flotation extraction technology.

AB  - The construction work and ceramic materials industry debris is an important source of waste that ends up unused and disposed on municipal solid waste landfills. Besides concrete and clay based materials, gypsum waste is one of the larger contributors to the building and industry byproducts production chain. The possibilities of waste gypsum revitalization and reutilization in the ceramic industry and civil engineering are investigated in this paper. The gypsum in its dihydrate form is used for moulds in the production of ceramic cast materials. The interest in recovering gypsum waste is increasing as the demand for sustainable production grows. Before secondary gypsum is reapplied, its properties and the recycling process have to be technically and environmentally evaluated. By recy- cling gypsum waste, natural gypsum deposits are being preserved. Furthermore, large percentage of this byproduct achieves its reutilization potential. In this con- text, this paper investigates physical properties, the chemical composition and the thermal behavior of the waste gypsum. The goal is to assess the feasibility of using waste gypsum and to evaluate the viability of the recycling process. The results indicate that the reutilization of gypsum waste might provide a viable substitute for clay in the ceramics industry. Reapplication of the revitalized secondary gypsum is approved from both economical and environmental aspect.

AB  - This paper presents results of investigations of the possibility of using “Gigovići”-Ulcinjlimestone (Republic Montenegro) as filler in various industry branches. Micronization methods, granulometric composition, oil and water absorption and degree of whiteness were investigated, and chemical and thermal analyses (DT/TG) were performed. Physico-chemical properties of this limestone classify it among high quality carbonate raw materials with relativelyhigh CaCO3 content of 98.16%, as well as low MgCO3 content of 1.53% and low silicate content (SiO2 0.30%). Its quality satisfies requirements of standards on using of calcium carbonate as filler in industry of paints and coatings; paper industry, rubber and PVC industry; glass industry; production of mineral fertilizers; foundry industry; sugar industry and metallurgy. Due to the low degree of whiteness (85,25%) “Gigovići” limestone cannot be used in pharmaceutical and cosmetics industry. Due to relatively high content of MgO (0,73%) and Fe (340ppm), as well as high content of heavy metals, Cu (18 ppm), Ni (24 ppm) and Cd (9 ppm), “Gigovići” limestone cannot be used, in production of cattle feed and for neutralization of acidic soils.

AB  - We contribute to the fields of mineral economics, environmental and economic history in two respects: first, we construct a novel time series data set for the levels of aggregates extraction in Serbia between 1973 and 2015; the second, we estimate a change point ordinary least squares regression to model the dynamics of aggregates extraction in the aforementioned period. Our cliometric estimates are in great accordance with the major business cycle facts of the Serbian economy in the last 40 years. The most important policy implication of our results pertains to the potential slowdown of aggregates extraction from the onset of the Great Recession.

AB  - Because of its physico-mechanical and physico-chemical characteristics, fine-ground (i.e. micronized) limestone is widely applied in the production of new materials. Limestone can be used as a filler, coating and/or powder in ceramic composites. The effect of its fine micronization depends on the type of equipment used and on the disintegration process. In this study, the emphasis was placed on investigation of the kinetics of the dry micronization milling of limestone in a state-of-the-art ultra-centrifugal mill with a peripheral comminuting path. The efficiency of the ultra-centrifugal mill with a peripheral comminuting path was determined based on a detailed investigation of the limestone dry micronization, which satisfied all the requirements for technological parameters as well as for micronized product parameters. On the basis of the investigation of these parameters and theory of dry micronization conducted in a state-of-the-art mill with use of advanced instrumental techniques for determination and observation of the most significant physical and chemical characteristics, a kinetics model was developed to serve as the basis for quick and effective determination of micronization quality and efficiency. In this paper, the results of grinding in a Retsch ZM-1 ultra-centrifugal mill were analyzed in order to optimize and automate the process of ultrafine micronization.

AB  - The limestone, as an economically sustainable and easily available basic raw material, is frequently utilized in the building industry for resolving of the environmental protection issues. The limestone is incorporated in a cementitious system either by grinding with cement clinker, or by blending with the binder during concrete production. The employing of powdery limestone as partial cement replacement gives the construction composites with properties comparable to that of conventional concrete. The study of limestone thermal behavior and its chemistry is crucial for the prognosis of the designed composites properties. In this work, the instrumental techniques (atomic emission spectroscopy, differential thermal and thermo-gravimetric analysis, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy) and the Principal component analysis were employed to discriminate and classify 22 limestone types. The PCA statistical method, as a means of spectra and experimental data fingerprinting, grouped the samples in a multi-dimensional factor space producing four graphical prognosis - one for each instrumental method. DTA/TG peak values varied the most in a short range between 830-870 degrees C, while FTIR spectra showed the highest diversity in the 867-887 cm(-1) and 1237-1647 cm(-1) ranges. This research was governed by an idea to reveal whether it is possible to differentiate various limestone types and to predict the possibility of their employment in construction composites on the basis of the results of instrumental and mathematical analyses.
