AB  - Velike količine prašine iz EAF peći se stvaraju u Evropi (1,3Mt), kao i u svetu (8,764Mt). Zbog visokog sadržaja Fe i Zn, čiji sadržaj često dostiže ukupno između 50 i 60 tež.%, EAF prašina je oduvek bila interesantna za reciklažu. Do sada, najčešće primenjivana metoda prerade EAF prašine je pirometalurški proces ekstrakcije Zn u Waelz pećima (85% tržišnog učešća). U radu je predstavlјen EIT Raw Materials projekat: RIS-DustRec-II, koji ima za cilј razvoj inovativnih tehnologija za odvajanje, ponovnu obradu i korisnu upotrebu svih komponenti EAF i CF prašine iz peći, kako bi se smanjila količina toksičnog otpada i postigla nulta vrednost. –što je cilj za otpad u EU. Urađene su I predstavlјene hemijske, XRD i SEM analize na dva odabrana uzorka prašine EAF i CF peći iz Italije.

Due to the high content of Fe and Zn, whose content often reaches a total of between 50 and 60 wt.%, EAF dust has always been interesting for recycling. So far, the most commonly applied method of processing EAF dust is the pyrometallurgical Waelz kiln process of Zn extraction (85% market share). The paper presents EIT Raw Materials Project: RIS-DustRec-II, which aims to develop innovative technologies for the separation, reprocessing, and beneficial use of all components of EAF and CF furnace dust, to reduce the amount of toxic waste and achieve the zero-waste target in the EU. Preliminary chemical, XRD, and SEM analyses on two samples of EAF and CF furnace dust from Italy were performed and presented.

AB  - In this paper influence of alginate encapsulation on point of zero charge (pH(pzc)) and thermodynamic properties of the natural and Fe(III)-modified zeolite were investigated. The pH(pzc) was determined by using 0.1000 g of the samples and 50 cm(3) of the solution containing KNO3 in concentrations of 0.0001-0.01 mol/dm(3) for initial pH (pH(i)) in range between 2 and 12. The obtained pH(pzc) were 6.2 for natural (NZA) and 6.5 for modified zeolite encapsulated with alginate (FeA). Influence of the temperature on the adsorption of lead was investigated for different initial lead ions concentrations (180-3200 mgPb(2+)/dm(3)) and temperatures of 30, 40 and 60 degrees C. For both adsorbents, adsorption of lead ions increased with increasing its initial concentration as well as with increasing of the temperature. Also, the best fits of the experimental data were obtained by Freundlich isotherm. The temperature had positive influence adsorption and removal of lead ions increased with increasing its initial concentration as well as with increasing of the temperature. The thermodynamic parameters (the standard free energy of adsorption, standard enthalpy and standard entropy) were also determined. The results showed that lead ions removal from aqueous solutions is much favourable for FeA then NZA.
