AB - Zeolites are a group of natural and synthetic inorganic compounds. They have specific physicochemical properties suitable for industrial application [1,2]. According to their origin, variety of chemical composition, structural characteristics and application, zeolites form a specific group of minerals within the tectosilicates. In sedimentary formations rich in zeolites, the most characteristic minerals that are present are: clinoptilolite/hailandite, chabazite, mordenite, erionite, phillipsite and analcime. The most widespread zeolite of sedimentary origin is represented by the HEU series (clinoptilolite-heylandite). Its general crystal chemical formula is (Na,K,Ca)6Al6Si30O72nH2O.. Based on chemical and X-ray powder diffraction analysis, it is not possible to separate clinoptilolite and hoylandite . This is due to their isostructural nature. To identify these two isostructural minerals, even today, the simplest so-called Mampton's test [3]. Mumpton [4]. The results of X-ray diffraction analysis of thermally treated clinoptilolitic tuffs from the Zlatokop and Beočin deposits will be presented in this paper. The interplane distance values will be shown in the characteristic temperature range from 400oC to 500oC (when the first polymorphic transition occurs). These values characterize the zeolitic tuffs of our deposits in a certain way.

AB - Deposits of zeolite tuffs, rich in minerals of the heylandite-clinoptilolite series, in Serbia are
spatially and genetically related to volcanogenic-sedimentary series of sedimentary basins and
were formed as a product of devitrification of volcanic glass. Zeolite minerals in sedimentary
rocks of Neogene age are found in association with volcanic and volcaniclastic rocks. The
lacustrine or marine environment had a great influence on the diagenesis of sediments and the
formation of clinoptilolite at the expense of volcanic glass. In this paper, a preliminary model of
the formation of zeolite deposits in the Tertiary basins of Serbia is presented, through the
processing of all elements of the genetic model.

AB - Zeolites are a group of natural and artificial inorganic compounds, which have specific physicochemical properties appropriate for industrial application. These minerals make a specific group of alumosilicates within tectosilicates because of their origin, chemical compositions, structural characteristics and application. This paper presents the results of mineralogical and crystallographic examination of zeolite tuff samples from the Toponica deposit. The deposit of zeolite tuff ""Toponica"" is located in the extreme eastern part of Kosmet near Kosovska Kamenica. The immediate geological structure of the zeolite tuff deposit consists of the Lower Miocene (M) clayey sandstone, the horizon of the white zeolite tuff and the reclassified Miocene clays, clays and gravel. The basic mineral composition is the mineral clinoptilolite-Ca from the heylandite series.

AB - The village of Dubravica is partially located over the western lignite deposits of the Kostolac basin. The examination of the dry residue obtained from drinking water from two individual wells by X-ray diffraction analysis, based on a typical peak, showed the presence of uranium in drinking water. The indirect method by Rajković and associates showed that, in sample I, the concentration of uranium in drinking water was 85.5 percent higher (3.71 mg/L) and that the concentration of uranium in sample II was only 22 percent lower (1.56 mg/L) than the Maximum Allowable Concentration (MAC) values required by the Regulations (2 mg/L). Analysis of the result of the introduction of uranium in the human body has shown that this way brings 0.84 to 2 mg of uranium in the human organism per annum or 0.09 to 0.22 mg of uranium is deposited annually in the kidney. Assessment of the potential health risk due to the presence of uranium in drinking water indicated that the population using drinking water from wells will be threatened by uranium in a short time interval. Regarding the long-term risk, the calculation has indicated that in the first sample of drinking water, about 25 inhabitants, and in the case of the second sample of drinking water, 10 inhabitants out of 1000 inhabitants are endangered. As the kidney is the organ in which uranium is deposited (accumulated) to the greatest extent, its presence causes weakening and failure of kidney function, which can destroy 75 percent of kidney function until the manifestation of the first clinical symptoms. This phenomenon is observed among the population along the rivers the Kolubara, the Drina, the Sava and the Morava and is called endemic nephropathy. The elements found in trace amounts (Pb, Cd, Si), live agents (bacteria and viruses), fungal plant toxins, genetic factors and immune mechanism can be listed as possible causes. However, uranium in drinking water has not been listed so far. The tests performed in this study clearly show the role of uranium in the epidemic, endemic nephropathy, which is growing and which is not at the acute phase of the disease but has already progressed to renal failure and end-stage kidney disease. Official data on the rise of endemic nephropathy and diabetes and increasing their share in diseases, as well as overall mortality rates, which amount to 18.19%, clearly indicate that the role of uranium in the Braničevo district environment should not be ignored. Since there are settlements on the terrain to be investigated, uranium and its migration through the environment must be monitored as all conditions for its migration are unfortunately favourable.

Since there are settlements on the terrain to be investigated, uranium and its migration through the environment must be monitored as all conditions for its migration are unfortunately favourable.",

AB - Flotation of ions and molecules represents a promising method of separating components from the solution, or in our case, gelled copper salt from the blue waters. The method of flotation of ions and molecules is basicly flotation extraction process which produces different concentration gradients of more component phase system. Different concentration gradients in the flotation extraction are due to the driving forces of the participating molecules driven by molecular interactions. More component phase system i.e. flotation pulp consists of water molecules of the solute, and a suitable reagent which has the role of connection of the liquid and gaseous phases dispersed in a biphasic system. Such a system leads to the interaction of the solute with a reagent to the formation of coagulated component in water as solvent. Separation in the polyphased system is in accordance with Van't Hoff-th equation, and spontaneously occurs in two-phase systems like gaseous-fluid, such as the system of flotation pulp. By use of the osmotic pressure in the columnn flotation machine comes to the separation of the flotation pulp to the heavy and light phase. This allows the molecules of water to form their natural distances which are only valid for molecules of pure water, apropos for heavy phase. Also, the solute forms it’s light phase, copper – surfactant salt as insoluble product. For some poliphase systems such as colloidal systems like in flotation process are sufficient atmospheric pressure conditions and for others solutions should be applied overpressure while being aerated. The paper presents the results of the research of flotation extraction of blue water i.e. copper solution content of 0.2 g/l. From the results, it is concluded that there is a possibility of purifying of blue water from copper mine tailings using the flotation extraction technology.
