Limestones of Platac technical-building stone deposits as carbonate raw materials

Abstract

Technical-building stone is a carbonate raw material that has unlimited potential in Montenegro and is one of the most important mineral raw materials. A special valorization of rocks with a carbonate composition, primarily limestone, is the production of carbonate fillers and their application in various branches of industry. The paper presents the results of multi-year geological investigations of the limestone deposits of Platac, the established reserves, the quality and the possibility of applying limestone.
